“Leading the Remote Employee”

With the advent of micro-electronics and continuous upgrading of cell phone communications, the “remote employee” is a growing reality in employment ranks.  “Working from home” or on the “road” is depopulating workplaces.  There are fewer warm bodies “clocking in” each day, but this newest category of staff still need leadership.

How that leadership functions and provides accountability is the center of this learning experience.

Skills Presented:  (1) How to interview the perspective remote employee, (2) How to structure a work relationship which will provide accountability without face-to-face presence, (3) How to evaluate completed work using the latest micro-electronic devices, (4) How to craft communication channels which do not hint at the use of surveillance and (5) How to ensure face-to-face sessions provide the right amount of instruction and inspiration.
