“Building and Leading an Effective Work Team”

A collection of people with complementary skill sets focused on a well-defined mission equals an effective work team.

Leading a diverse collection of people ultimately determines if the team will be “effective.”

This course, as a leadership competency, will specifically equip the attendee with the skills to select and then hone individuals into a close-knit human unit speaking with “one voice.”

Skills Presented:  (1) How to use a selection inventory to identify those individuals who will compliment each other in a team environment, (2) How to lead a team into a common language and goal, (3) How to appropriately participate in team decisions as a “player-coach,” (4) How to identify and address combative interpersonal relationships which will derail the work of the team, (5) How to make team meetings both informative and desirable and (6) How to know when it is time to realign or disband a work team.
